Hi. I haven't been updating this site much - everything here is pretty much outdated.

traded the titan in for a prius. this car is really impressive - not what i expected at all, it really reminds me of my previous bmw, not as quick but with the added bonus of ~45 avg mpg and all the same comforts... the $75 for 3/4 tank fill ups every week for the titan were getting out of control!

The family got together today and went out to the Valley of Fire. Most of the family made it out, even Buddy and Maggie.

Courtney turned 21 on March 7, 2006.

The night started,

at BJ's which is sort of a bar and grill. Deep-dish pizza, pasta marinara and alfredo with chicken and a large salad was served buffet style.

Special thanks,

to Nakomi for ordering those lemon drops filled to the rim. Courtney got toasted.

Later,

we went to New York, New York Casino to the Piano Bar and then ended the night at the tables. Courtney wanted to try her luck at some roulette which didn't keep her interest very long. I think she was too loopy to give it some serious thought so she ended up just rolling the dice for me at the craps tables.

on the way home,

in her drunken stutter, Courtney let me know she had the beeesssttt time.

I've just added the gallery code and it seems to be working okay. Some pictures have been uploaded but they're all kind of old. There will be more to come when I can grab some more photos from my wife. You can comment in there too!

This is my first Drupal theme. Usually I go for a lot more of a simplistic style, to help with readability and a flexible width to help consume my 1920x1200 resolution, but...

I got bored

in Photoshop and created some eye candy with coOoOl transparency. Dang, it's only been 30 seconds and my eyes are already begging for something else. The fixed width is really bugging me! All that wasted screen real estate. Also IE is dropping the right column down sometimes...

It will do

Oh well, I don't really have the time to create another design right now so this will stick for a while.

Contribute

If anyone is interested, once I hammer out the few bugs, I am thinking of submitting it as a contribution theme to the Drupal repository.

Don't be afraid to get dirty

This sites purpose is basically getting me back up to speed with web development. I will be using this site as my sandbox to trying out new, untested code. So expect lots of downtime. :)

first personal website

I'm a virgin,

This is my first ever attempt at creating a personal website. Yes, even though I've done plenty of pages for various projects and clients, this is a new experience.

Why bother?

I always thought it's not worth the effort, as no one has offered to pay me ca$h for it, nor will it be a source of income.

I've been lazy,

Lately I've been guilty of being lazy and outsourcing all my projects offshore. The price is right and things get done but I've noticed that the quality is suffering and it is really starting to annoy me.

Let's get serious,

So now - I'm in the mood to create and to get my hands dirty so I've resumed my hunched over position in front of the computer, with several ideas in the works.

I'll use my blog here to discuss my projects and various things I pickup on the way - additionally cluttered with whatever else is happening in my life.
